Frequently Asked Questions
Well technically this isn't frequently asked questions as no one has been able to contact me yet because the sites not done. But this is in preparation for some things you might want to know.
Q. How can I contact you?
A. Give me a friendly mail at bethani(at)godzone.net.nz .
Q. How often does the comic update?
A. I'm currently finishing a Bachelor in Computer Graphic design, which means whilst I'm making progress I'm not ready to regularly update. Next year once I've moved and actually gotten more pages done for a buffer, I'd love to be able to update between once a week to twice a month.
Q. Why do some links not work properly/ why is your site doing funny things/ why aren't you updating?
A. This is a work in progress. It takes a lot of time and energy to get things set up and 100% bug free. Please be patient with me and check back in a month or so. :)
Q. Is the story scripted or do you make it up as you go along?
A. Well I've written the first book in draft. I'd like to go back an edit, fine tuning character's speech patterns etc. We'll see how realistic that is. But the story is planned as three books. The Beginning, Middle and End. So it somewhat has a planned ending. Like most things you start without really knowing what you're doing, later on I'd like to fine tune everything. Who knows? The story may even grow in a different direction.
Q. What software and tools do you use?
A. I grew up with Photoshop and that's my colouring software. I love plain old black ballpoint for line-art, I should really ink more contrast though and plan to in upcoming chapters. But I do everything before colouring by hand on paper, touching up in Photoshop if needed.
I've hand coded the site straight into a content management system. CMS Made Simple is opensource and currently the only cms I have experience with. The site is hosted by my Family's ministry Godzone.
Q. Do you do link exchanges?
A. Currently no. The only people on my links page are those that I love and have inspired me. It may grow though later.
Anything I've missed? Let me know. :)
