Wraith

One of the central characters. Wraith has just started University and moved in with her sister. She wants to become a designer and is working with computers and animation.

Quiet, dreamy, creative, into the arts and reading. She is struggling wit self-esteem and depression issues and has resorted to self-harm in order to control her situation. Depression stems from rejection by peers at an early age and a perfectionist achiever mindset. She thinks too much for her own good. Her social skills aren't well developed but she has a brilliant imagination and insight. She starts in this story searcing for herself.

Elizabeth

Elizabeth is one of the other central characters. She is in her second year at University. She wants to be a writer and can usually be relied on to have a notebook and pen on her at all times, but she keeps most of her feelings confined to her writing. She is headstrong, practical and serious, but she also has a teasing personality. She’s taken on the responsibility for the household since Wraith started going off the tracks. Afraid to let anyone in she keeps a rigid hold on her life, Arella tries to get her to open up and start actually living life.

Nathaniel

Wraith’s guardian. He’s confused and unaccustomed to his humanity. Trying to find an identity for himself as well as staying close to Wraith. He cares greatly for her and is hurt by her self-destructive behaviour and lack of trust. This makes him initially quite an angry, ‘emo’ character. He wants to ‘fix’ things. He’s the unexpressed side to Wraith. The straight-forward, honest, assertive personality. The strength to her perceived weakness.

Arella

Elizabeth’s guardian. She’s fully involved in her recently bestowed humanity. Enthusiastic, fun loving, warm and friendly. She has a caring attitude that makes her able to fit into any social group. She’s fascinated by the little things, marshmallows, mochachinos, dressing up etc. She’s a free spirit to Lizabeth’s restricted personality.

Kurt

Kurt’s got a smile for everyone. Good sense of humor and a fun positive personality. He likes being around people and doing new things. He’s into karma, do good unto others. He’s easy going and grounded. Keen on Elizabeth.

Rayven

Don’t be fooled by this girl’s goth exterior. Rayven is a cool, confident, sexy chick. She loves being the centre of attention, definitely an extrovert. Into Wicca and mother nature. Wraith’s best friend at University. They met through their common love of books. While her casual and flirty attitude sometimes gets her into trouble, it’s good for getting Wraith out of her shell.

Luke

Luke’s a quiet creative type. He likes to be involved but is often the hard-worker in the background. Into architecture and engineering he likes knowing how things work. He won’t speak out but has a lot going on inside. He had a boyfriend who is now out of the picture and grew up in a restricting household.
